"Ouija, wouldn’t wanna be ya"

Films: Ouija (2014), Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016)

Alias: Doris Zander (DZ), Marcus

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted Home/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Sometimes, people take risks, and that's great. Other times, it really makes you wonder if they just got bored and decided to throw caution to the wind for a change. So you can imagine the confusion when Hasbro decided to make some horror movies with the spirit board they owned. It...didn't quite work.

History: The Ouija board is an artifact that is said to be able to make contact with the dead. It sounds neat, and it is for a bit, but usage of the board also has a chance of summoning more malevolent spirits. Case in point was Marcus, a WWII soldier killed after brutal experimentation that let his rage take over and possess a family. One of the members, Doris Zander, became a vessel for demonic spirits because of it. And now, the board has been found again

Notable Kills: DZ at one point tosses a guy onto a pool with a plastic canopy on top. Just a tip, don't try to swim on that. You will drown in the effort.

Final Fate: It seems that Doris' demonically-possessed rampage is at an end when her body and the board are burned to nothing. But the board just keeps popping up, and there is little chance of the curse not persisting still.

Powers/Abilities: Those who are summoned by the Ouija board can possess and fling people around with their minds. They can also command hordes of demonic spirits.

Weakness: Sewing a demonic vessel's mouth shut is one solution, but a better one involves burning the Ouija board...and the vessel together. Hm.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-The concept is only somewhat hokey, but the bad effects and acting only make it worse. That's not to say that the power of these spirits is to be underestimated, though. And sometimes, the spirits do indeed look a little creepy.

Trivia: -Despite the first film being utterly loathed by critics, the prequel was ironically much more well-received.

-The Ouija board has its origins in China. Its name is an enigma, but it was believed to be a means of connecting with the spirit world. The actual board we know and love was made in Baltimore in 1890 around the time of the great spiritualist movement.

Remember. Floating=Terror.

"MY NECK HURTS!"

Take a moment to think about evil.

Everyone needs a voice. Except him.
Control in the spirit realm is an illusion.

No more will he sing to Taylor Swift after that.

They may have a backwards idea about 'consent'.

"All I want is a mouth!!!"
Need a further warning? HOW ABOUT THIS?!

Quit putting words in her mouth!

"Mom says it's my turn to use the board!"

Or what you won't say ever again.

"Dogpile!"
